The Oregon lawsuit argued that the dietary supplements sold by GNC were laced with illegal drugs. According to that lawsuit, the amphetamine-like stimulant BMPEA was used in GNC diet pills sold as supplements. As argued in the lawsuit, those ingredients were not approved for human use in the United States and were not considered natural.
A recent high profile class action lawsuit for false advertising was filed against Red Bull, whose slogan was “Red Bull gives you wings.” The complaint claimed that the consumers had been drinking red bull for several years without sprouting wings.
